20th March, Argent hosted the second ULI UK Development Forum at King’s Cross. This invitation-only event provided an unprecedented insight into how Argent is delivering this new London district with a specific focus on financing of large scale developments. An InfoBurst will be published shortly providing further insights of the forum but some key highlights included:
A scene setting presentation by Max Sinclair, Wells Fargo shared market trends in development finance, insights into the changing world of development lenders and outlined expectations for 2015. David Hatcher, Real Estate Capital then led a dynamic panel debate with: Jonathan Thompson, Argent, Jo Solomon, Hogan Lovells and Rebecca Worthington, Lodestone Capital, which explored a cross-sector perspective of development finance.
The forum concluded with a behind-the-scenes tour of King’s Cross led by Mike Lightbound, which brought to life Argent’s unique approach and philosophy to developing a new London neighbourhood. Interestingly the neighbourhood and its development phases are being strongly influenced by Argent’s guiding principles, a dynamic approach to mixed occupancy and a core emphasis on sustainability, infrastructure and place making.
