Who pays, Who finances, Who benefits?

Infrastructure finance is traditionally seen as a separate asset class to real estate yet the interdependencies of infrastructure success in terms of real estate investment and human capital are strongly correlated. The ULI Infrastructure Council recently convened a roundtable hosted by the Greater London Authority focusing specifically on this theme, to understand how the interrelationship of infrastructure finance could potentially be remodelled whereby the investment of infrastructure is correlated to those that will benefit. 120 ULI UK members enjoyed a superb and, occasionally supersonic-speed, discussion at the 2015 Annual Members’ Meeting, generously hosted by Linklaters this week. UK Property Sector Faces Uncertainty on Election Eve

The property sector in the United Kingdom faces both deep uncertainty as well as a measure of continuity after Thursday’s general election, according to political consultant Nick Keable, who spoke at a UK general election briefing for ULI members last week. UrbanPlan UK : Inspiring Real Estate’s Future

Following a successful pilot, the Urban Land Institute is bringing its UrbanPlan programme to the UK in 2015. UrbanPlan is the ULI’s exciting educational initiative that’s been running successfully in high schools in the US for over ten years – reaching over 27,000 students and enabling more than 1,500 ULI members to share their experiences.
