Appointment of New ULI UK Young Leader Co-Chair
ULI UK is delighted to announce that Mariya Tsvetkova has been appointed the new Co-Chair of the ULI UK Young Leaders Group.
Earlier this week, the NHS saw over 405,000 volunteers register from across the UK in just 24 hours. These volunteers will be asked to deliver food and medicines, drive patients to appointments and phone the isolated. Today, the government has raised its target to 750,000 for the Good Sam Initiative.
As the property industry, there are a few other initiatives that have begun and if you or indeed your companies are seeking ways to lend a hand, we’ve highlighted some opportunities below:
Do Some Good
Do Some Good is consolidating the efforts of our industry into a centralised resource that can efficiently support the NHS and other at-risk groups during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a collective effort, Do Some Good is working on offers for space, medical supplies, community support and other donations that their task force will help redistribute by working closely with the NHS and other groups.

Help support NHS workers
CBRE is assisting the NHS by facilitating engagement with clients and contacts in the real estate market across the UK, to satisfy their immediate need for additional premises and parking facilities. We are seeking to identify suitable properties within close proximity to an NHS or Private Hospital which could be occupied by the NHS for the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic. The greatest needs at the current time are car parking to enable NHS staff to access hospitals quickly, overnight beds for staff and storage facilities within a 15 minute walk of an NHS hospital.
To find out more, follow the above link to the Do Some Good website and go to ‘Space’.
Parking for healthcare campaign
Parking has become difficult as staff need to travel by car due to a reduction in public transport services. And the last thing NHS staff need after an extended shift is extended parking charges.
Just Park has launched the Parking for Healthcare campaign to ensure that healthcare workers and patients can easily find parking around hospitals for free.
