‘L’Appel de Paris’ COP21 Real Estate Implications
The ULI Young Leaders recently held a Prospective Members Lunch with people from the construction, architectural, investment and legal sectors. The lunch was kindly hosted by JLL and provided first hand insights into the wider land use and property market from ULI’s long standing member Lee Polisano.
Lee Polisano, President PLP Architecture kindly shared fascinating insights into his career which began in the US, later moving to the UK with his global architectural practice. In true ULI fashion Lee led an open discussion that shared an inspiring journey how PLP has grown from a ‘start-up’ and how markets are changing. The new ‘norm’ is a time more focused on well-being with higher values places on how we all live, work and travel but also significant opportunities for disruptors and entrepreneurs.
The discussion also journeyed through current market challenges such as sustainability, land pricing, affordable housing models and energy production. It is clear that we are facing a challenging and uncertain environment where low oil prices are detracting from long term investment into sustainable energy production.
A special thank you to Lee Polisano, PLP Architecture and JLL for hosting this engaging forum.
Our next prospective Members Lunch is on the 13th April. Please contact us on [email protected] or 0207 487 9576 to register your interest.
