    Postcard from the Future

Throughout the coming year, the ULI UK Young Leaders will be exploring the themes of
    liveability, connectivity and affordability.

For our new mini-series event Postcard from the Future, we have asked prominent thinkers, experts and professionals to jump forward in time, and report back on what they find. Will we be a more equal society, a kinder society, a freer society? Will we be richer or poorer, and to whose advantage? Crucially, what will we have done – as an industry – to have engendered these changes?

Each of our speakers comes from a different background; has a different perspective on what ‘good’ looks like and how it is achieved. This is a chance to hear them speak creatively about what they want for our collective (urban) future and the sorts of things they would like to see happen to get us there.

The sessions will be 50 mins, with a 20 minute presentation and 30 minutes of Q&A.

Chris’s session will focus on the need to abandon old approaches to the economy, looking at what ‘value’ really means, what it should mean and the imperative to find fairer assessments and extractions of value.
