    Postcard from the Future

Throughout the coming year, the ULI UK Young Leaders will be exploring the themes of
    liveability, connectivity and affordability.

For our new mini-series event Postcard from the Future, we have asked prominent thinkers, experts and professionals to jump forward in time, and report back on what they find. Will we be a more equal society, a kinder society, a freer society? Will we be richer or poorer, and to whose advantage? Crucially, what will we have done – as an industry – to have engendered these changes?

Each of our speakers comes from a different background; has a different perspective on what ‘good’ looks like and how it is achieved. This is a chance to hear them speak creatively about what they want for our collective (urban) future and the sorts of things they would like to see happen to get us there.

The sessions will be 50 mins, with a 20 minute presentation and 30 minutes of Q&A.

    Tuesday 16 February 2021: 'Connectivity 1'

Lisa Taylor, Director of Coherent Cities and Executive Director of Future of London
Lisa's session will focus on connections: geographic; discipline or 'endeavour' e.g. arts, climate, digital; and sector, including academic, charity and community as well as public & private.

With an extensive background in project management, communications and stakeholder relations, Lisa created Coherent Cities after six years building the reputation, reach and capacity of cross-sector network Future of London as CEO. A sought-after facilitator and advisor, on The Planner’s Women of Influence list since 2016, Lisa also worked at director level around the world, delivering complex projects and government negotiations for clients including CBS, Land Rover and the Canadian Navy (yes, we have one).

Future-wise, she owns Blade Runner (original), Star Trek (reboot) & the Firefly series, and likes District 9. Expect post-apocalypse with a dash of fun.
