    Webinar Summary

    The focus of the webinar is on what’s Next of Alternative Residential Market: Urban Living and Sharing Economy gets a makeover. How resilient are student housing, co-living and senior living during and after COVID-19 pandemic.
    The speakers share their views on the impact of social distancing on modern urban living concepts and amenities offering as well as discuss whether managed communities can better address matters of hygiene and health, wellbeing, comfort and safety, loneliness and social distancing. Or are shared spaces associated with increasing risk of virus propagation and more public and regulatory intervention is anticipated? Are we going to see more demand for affordable living arrangements, such as co-living, during and after the economic turmoil caused by COVID-19? Whether the anticipated increase of working from home, social distancing, health & safety will lead to changes in the design practices of co-living spaces? Integration of technological solutions in the design and operational practices of these housing models. Resiliency of these sectors from an investment perspective will be addressed during the webinar.

    Ziyou Tian

    Managing Partner, Qualive Real Estate

    Ziyou Tian holds a degree in urban planning and real estate from Cornell University. Ziyou’s previous experience in building revitalization includes projects for Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong and for a nonprofit in Portugal. She leads Qualive's development projects since 2016.

    Nigel Allsopp

    Senior Director, Greystar Europe Holdings Limited

    Nigel Allsopp is a Senior Director and leads Greystar’s Investment Strategy & Research group in Europe where he is responsible for the formulation and capitalization of the company’s investment strategies. He also provides ongoing macro research, including monitoring markets and investment performance across geographies and asset classes. Prior to joining Greystar, Mr. Allsopp worked on European real estate funds at BlackRock and AEW Europe, respectively. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Greenwich.
