Demonstrating social value, the positive impact that real estate investment and development can have on our communities beyond financial returns, is increasingly becoming a priority for city leadership, real estate owners, investors and developers. However, a lack of common definitions, standards and tools to strategise, manage and measure social value is holding back further investment.

This webinar marked the launch of a roadmap for the incorporation of social value in real estate and is the outcome of a project undertaken by ULI in collaboration with a select group of corporate members. The session began with a brief presentation of the main findings of the project, followed by a discussion by industry leaders on the importance of a focus on social value, the challenges and opportunities and best practice examples they have been involved in.
