ULI UK Young Leaders are invited to join us on Wednesday 14 June for a 'Lunch and Learn' with Carl Potter, Principal and Managing Director, Avison Young's Birmingham office.
Carl will talk about two ground breaking schemes that have changed the Birmingham landscape – Brindleyplace and Paradise. Brindleyplace is one of the UK's best established office led mixed-use developments and was delivered from the mid to late 1990s.
Paradise is Birmingham's newest destination with the first office space having been occupied by PWC in January 2020 and the first phase having completed in 2020 with Chamberlain Square re-opening in March 2021. Further development includes a hotel, 370 homes and further public realm.
Carl will focus on the impact and importance of these schemes on and to the City Centre, but also explore how each scheme has been delivered via a mix of public and private ownership and how collaboration between private developers and the City Council and was fundamental to their successful delivery.
The event will kindly be hosted by Avison Young Birmingham, with lunch and drinks provided.
