ULI kicked off it’s exciting and informative 21st Century New Communities programme with this launch webinar, hosted by ULI on the 2nd March
7 May 2021
ULI UK is pleased to announce that Yohance Harper (Associate Partner, Quadrant Estates) has been appointed as the new vice-chair of our Young Leaders committee.
Alongside his role at Quadrant, where he is helping to deliver 500,000 sq ft of London offices, and his work with ULI, Yohance is also an honorary lecturer at UCL’s Bartlett School of Planning, a visiting research fellow in the economics department of Goldsmiths University, and an associate tutor at UCEM. In November 2020 he was recognised by the British Council for Offices (BCO) as a Rising Star in the industry.
Yohance said: “I’m thrilled to have the privilege to become the vice-chair of the Young Leaders programme. The programme, along with the mentorship scheme, has gone from strength to strength with a range of high-quality events and engaging members. I am genuinely excited to be part of something that is shaping the future of the industry and a global community. This is a particularly interesting time as I believe that the Young Leaders Programme has the capacity to add vitality to the industry experience whilst we begin to transition from fully virtual working environments.”
In a new committee structure, current co-chair Mariya Tsvetkova (Investment Associate, NREP) will step into the role of chair, supported by Yohance. We would like to say a sincere thank you to our outgoing co-chair Anoushka Malde (Associate, Lazard), who has been a fantastic leader for the past two years and worked hard to organise a variety of successful Young Leaders events despite the challenging virtual environment. Anoushka will remain serving as a committee member.
Mariya commented: “I am personally very excited to continue growing together with Yohance our Young Leaders programme in the UK, which consists now of 400 active members. He is a recognised young leader in our industry, being one of the BCO’s rising stars and lecturing at UCL besides his full-time job. Yohance has been invaluable for scaling up our ULI Young Leadership mentorship programme over the last three years, so I have no doubt he will have a meaningful impact across all Young Leaders programmes over the next two years.”
Yohance started his career in architecture in 2011, working on commercial projects in the UK and luxury residential abroad, before joining CBRE in 2014. Yohance went on to spend a year in investment valuations before joining CBRE’s Capital Advisors. There he was a non-discretionary advisor working debt and equity investment strategies focusing on development. This included fund structuring, investment management, strategic development management, asset repositioning and development finance.
