ULI UK Midlands Young Leaders are excited to invite you to their next event: The Lifecycle of a Logistics Development

Please join us on 8 March 2024 for a breakfast event hosted by Prologis at Prologis Park Hams Hall, which will offer a truly unique networking opportunity. We will start with a panel discussion highlighting the delivery process of this logistics project, touching on planning, sustainability and operations from a range of speakers (listed below), followed by a guided tour around the recently completed 261,147 sq ft state of the art logistics unit known as DC2. There is also the chance to visit DC4 (occupied by AMG Forwarding Limited) where you will be able to see a live warehouse and logistics operation in action.

    You’ll hear from:

    1. Martin Cooper from Prologis’ Development Management Team will tell us how Prologis has delivered a sustainable logistics development at Hams Hall achieving net zero carbon during construction, EPC A , BREEAM Excellent and created £9.83m of Social and Local Economic Value (with DC2 delivering £5.35m of this) as well as how it helps its customers to reduce their operational footprint. Martin will also explain how future Prologis buildings will build on this success, including how all new developments achieve net zero carbon during construction and strive for EPC A and beyond.

    2. David Green from Delta Planning will demonstrate how Delta Planning achieved planning permission for the former power station by navigating complex planning constraints including green belt designation, as well as how a collaborative planning approach with the Local Planning Authority and local community unlocked the site.

    3. Miraz Baig from LTS Global Solutions Limited and Andrew Griffiths from AMG Forwarding Limited, whose businesses occupy the neighbouring units DC3 and DC4 respectively, will provide us with an occupier’s perspective on the importance of a high-class building in a strategic location and local workforce recruitment.

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A, all whilst enjoying a cuppa and a breakfast buttie!

Please note, spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Arrival is from 8.15am with the panel event running from 8.45 to 9.30am followed by the tours. We anticipate that the event will round up by 10.30am.
