    Simon Chinn

    Vice President Research & Advisory Services, Urban Land Institute - Europe

    Simon is Vice President, Research & Advisory Services at the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where he is responsible for managing its innovative research agenda covering the key issues shaping the future of the real estate industry including climate change and sustainability, investment and development trends and shifts in demography and technological change. Prior to joining ULI, Simon specialised in research on global cities and real estate for Grosvenor, one of the world’s largest privately-owned international property businesses. Simon’s role involved undertaking analysis on global city developments to inform the company’s long-term strategy and thinking on cities. He has undertaken major research projects on megatrends for real estate, examining topics such as urbanisation, demographic change, digital disruption and climate change. Simon also has previous experience working in urban planning, economic development and strategic consulting for the retail sector. He holds an MSc in Urban Economic Development from The Bartlett Development Planning Unit, University College London.

    Meghan Johnson

    ESG Director, Hines

    Meghan Johnson is Director of Hines Europe’s ESG team and is based in Paris, France. Her work at Hines is focused on driving implementation of strategic ESG initiatives across their European platform. Meghan has 15 years of experience, having previously served as co-lead of EVORA Global’s Climate Resilience service line and Senior Research Analyst at The Climate Service, now S&P Global Climanomics, where she modeled financial impacts of climate change on real estate investments. She also spent 5 years at Nuveen where she was the Sustainability lead for Nuveen Real Estate’s Americas Portfolio. Meghan holds a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.

    Lindsay Brugger

    Vice President, Urban Resilience, Urban Land Institute

    Lindsay Brugger is Vice President, Urban Resilience for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a global nonprofit organization comprising more than 45,000 real estate and urban development professionals dedicated to advancing the Institute’s mission of shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. Ms. Brugger leads ULI’s Urban Resilience Program to advance the real estate industry’s understanding of climate risk, catalyze action to reduce vulnerability, and support communities in becoming more climate resilient. A licensed architect, certified passive house consultant, and frequent speaker, Ms. Brugger has worked for over a decade at the intersection of resilience, adaptation, and the built environment. She began her career as a practicing architect; extending her services to Architecture for Humanity DC where she co-founded and directed the Resilience by Design Program. Prior to joining ULI, Ms. Brugger was the Director of Resilience Knowledge and Engagement at the American Institute of Architects. During her tenure, she championed resilience, climate adaptation, and disaster assistance; creating tools and resources to help AIA’s 95,000 architects build new skillsets, integrate resilience into practice, and support their communities pre- and post-disaster. An avid partner in advancing resilience action throughout the building industry, Ms. Brugger often serves as a subject matter expert on climate adaptation and the built environment, supporting organizations and initiatives such as the National Institute of Building Sciences, the National Institute of Standards & Technology, and the U.S. Climate Resilience Toolkit. Ms. Brugger received a Master of Architecture and B.S. in Architecture from Roger Williams University; as well as the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for her leadership and service.

    Andrea Palmer

    PGGM Investments B.V.

    Andrea is Responsible Investment Lead for PGGM’s Global Real Estate Securities portfolio where she oversees integration of ESG into investment underwriting, portfolio construction and engagement with listed real estate companies. She is Chair of PGGM's Climate Risk Committee, overseeing the climate risk management program for PGGM's EUR 280 billion of assets under management (across asset classes). She has been working at the intersection of real estate and sustainable investment since 2014. Prior to PGGM, Andrea held ESG and institutional capital raising roles at LaSalle Investment Management, GRESB and Triodos Investment Management. She graduated from Aurora University outside Chicago with a Bachelors in Marketing Research and is currently pursuing an Executive Masters in Real Estate Development and Sustainable Urbanization from IE School of Architecture and Design in Madrid. She holds a Series 7 securities license (U.S.), SASB FSA Credential (IFRS) and ESG Competent Boards Designation. Andrea is also the founder and board chair of Net Impact Amsterdam, an association of sustainability professionals in The Netherlands that produces sustainability education programs, networking events, and mentorship opportunities to progress purposeful and effective impact careers.
