The ULI UK Urban Art Forum is working on a toolkit to encourage and inform a collaborative approach to creative and cultural placemaking. The guide will provide a framework that takes landowners, developers and other stakeholders through a matrix that helps them better understand, evaluate and maximise the role of arts, culture and music in the public realm.
Coming from a safe discussion amongst professionals across the built environment including the private, public and cultural sectors, the guide will provide a methodology and set of tools to enable better conversations that scale back ‘subjectivity’ and empower an ‘objective’ and informed conversation, leaving respect for all roles and responsibilities in the complicated process of achieving the ‘exceptional’.
