This year’s ULI Winter drinks was set on the 32nd Floor of Heron Tower, a building that set a new precedent for London’s skyline. The evening was opened by presentations from Malcolm Kerr, founding partner from DP9 and Robert Tavernor, Emeritus Professor of Architecture and Urban Design at the London School of Economics and Political Science, LSE, who outlined the planning obstacles, design implications, evolving skyline and city scape of London.
‘Views are so key in development, and they are especially important when shaping the skyline of one of the world’s powerhouse cities. There was a buzz in the room as we enjoyed the views of tall buildings around us. I’m looking forward to more events throughout 2015!’ Emilie Walker, Grosvenor
The presentations were followed by social networking, with views across London’s skyline. The ULI Winter Drinks was developed by the ULI Young Leaders and is recognised as one of ULI UK’s principle social events.
