ULI UK has just finished another successful UrbanPlan tour during its fifth anniversary! The programme is going from strength-to-strength and all the enhancements that have been made to the workshop scenario this year have been very positively received.
The November tour visited 20 schools, reaching just under 800 students and working with 77 industry volunteers. The tour started in Scotland before heading down south via Chester, Liverpool, Blackpool, Leeds and Birmingham – finishing up in London at the end of the month.
The programme wouldn’t be possible without the wonderful funders and volunteers from a wide variety of organisations including Allsop, British Land, Landsec, Hammerson, Grosvenor, Frogmore, Capco, Hollis, Changing the Face of Property, Native Land among many others.
This time the mentoring initiative is an integral part of the programme and 40 pupils, who have expressed an interest in a career in the sector, are being mentored by volunteers on a six week programme.
The feedback from pupils, teachers and volunteers alike has been fantastic – with 100% satisfaction ratings from each group. Take a look at the results here!
